On 6 April 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 21,407 ordinary shares at a price of 181.77p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 3,956,536 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,626,666 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
