On 26 July 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 17,923 ordinary shares at a price of 204.38p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 5,840,324 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,742,878 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
