On 7 April 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 36,998 ordinary shares at a price of 182.3p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 3,993,534 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,589,668 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
