On 27 July 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 8,984 ordinary shares at a price of 205.50p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 5,849,308 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,733,894 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
