On 8 March 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 13,824 ordinary shares at a price of 177.75p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 3,222,601 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 100,360,601 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
