On 4 May 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 50,000 ordinary shares at a price of 178.36p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 4,209,218 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,373,984 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
