On 12 April 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 25,148 ordinary shares at a price of 181.22p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 4,026,222 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,556,980 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
