On 11 August 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 63,181 ordinary shares at a price of 210.12p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,032,977 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,550,225 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
