On 15 August 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 9,704 ordinary shares at a price of 213.34p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,063,371 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,519,831 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
