On 1 August 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 4,789 ordinary shares at a price of 205p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 5,854,097 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,729,105 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
