On 2 August 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 4,398 ordinary shares at a price of 202.25p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 5,858,495 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,724,707 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
