On 10 March 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 5,000 ordinary shares at a price of 177.25p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 3,308,612 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 100,274,590 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
