On 5 May 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 26,570 ordinary shares at a price of 177.91p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 4,235,788 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,347,414 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
