On 29 December 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 182 ordinary shares at a price of 223.25p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,746,923 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,836,279 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
