On 19 September 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 47,488 ordinary shares at a price of 206.56p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,318,441 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,264,761 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
