On 20 September 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 64,050 ordinary shares at a price of 208.59p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,382,491 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,200,711 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
