On 21 September 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 39,219 ordinary shares at a price of 208.75p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,421,710 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,161,492 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
