On 5 August 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 41,528 ordinary shares at a price of 205.78p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 5,937,706 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,645,496 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
