On 20 October 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 30,665 ordinary shares at a price of 218p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,610,010 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,973,192 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
