On 21 October 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 3,500 ordinary shares at a price of 218.75p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,613,510 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,969,692 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
