On 17 June 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 1490 ordinary shares at a price of 179.00p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 4,889,905 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 98,693,297 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
