On 22 June 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 20,722 ordinary shares at a price of 178.64p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 4,936,657 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 98,646,545 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
