On 27 September 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 13,536 ordinary shares at a price of 208.57p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,522,784 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,060,418 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
