On 9 January 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 16,963 ordinary shares at a price of 226.97p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,813,886 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,769,316 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
