On 31 October 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 9,810 ordinary shares at a price of 218.5p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,657,341 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,925,861 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
