On 17 March 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 70,740 ordinary shares at a price of 237.08p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 7,553,952 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,029,250 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
