On 28 September 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 4080 ordinary shares at a price of 209.99p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,526,864 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,056,338 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
