On 13 January 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 1,431 ordinary shares at a price of 229p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,838,676 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,744,526 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
