On 30 August 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 5,443 ordinary shares at a price of 207.47p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,106,811 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,476,391 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
