On 31 August 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 45,970 ordinary shares at a price of 206.63p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,152,781 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,430,421 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
