On 20 May 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 37,743 ordinary shares at a price of 177.37p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 4,314,858 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,268,344 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
