On 5 September 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 2,466 ordinary shares at a price of 206.44p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,160,506 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,422,696 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
