On 6 September 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 5,135 ordinary shares at a price of 205.49p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,165,641 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,417,561 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
