On 4 October 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 34,219 ordinary shares at a price of 213.41p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,561,083 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,022,119 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
