On 5 October 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 4,292 ordinary shares at a price of 213.25p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,565,375 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,017,827 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
