On 6 October 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 6,154 ordinary shares at a price of 213.99p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,571,529 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,011,673 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
