On 20 January 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 665 ordinary shares at a price of 226.5p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,839,472 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,743,730 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
