On 5 July 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 50,639 ordinary shares at a price of 195.69p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 5,328,163 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 98,255,039 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
