On 9 September 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 7,500 ordinary shares at a price of 204.87p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,183,786 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,399,416 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
