On 7 October 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 7,377 ordinary shares at a price of 217.21p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,578,906 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,004,296 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
