On 4 April 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 55,000 ordinary shares at a price of 233.99p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 7,751,214 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 95,831,988 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
