On 6 July 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 300,247 ordinary shares at a price of 195.01p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 5,628,410 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,954,792 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
