On 7 July 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 25,315 ordinary shares at a price of 198.83p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 5,653,725 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,929,477 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
