On 27 January 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 17,864 ordinary shares at a price of 224.0p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,867,336 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,715,866 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
