On 30 January 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 2,136 ordinary shares at a price of 223.25p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,869,472 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,713,730 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
