On 2 February 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 33,404 ordinary shares at a price of 224p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,902,876 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,680,326 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
