On 18 August 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 9,524 ordinary shares at a price of 237.5112p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 9,928,606 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 93,654,596 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
