On 13 December 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 4,200 ordinary shares at a price of 218.95p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,746,620 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,836,582 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
