On 14 December 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 54 ordinary shares at a price of 218.5p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,746,674 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,836,528 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
