On 2 May 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 90,000 ordinary shares at a price of 228.50p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 8,264,123 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 95,319,079 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
